I heard a little sound ............

It was the garden fairy calling me to tell me that something was at last blooming on my tiny patio.  There, amongst the trailing lobelia was a shy little fairy, perched atop a frog..............

Doves of Peace

Some wonderfully clever person made these doves out of paper,  they hang above my workstation and swirl in the breeze while I am typing away at my blog.  They are almost a meditation tool!  I imagine they are meant to be mobiles above a crib,  but they are wonderful anyway!
My guest has left,  and my home is eerily quiet!  How quickly one gets used to conversation.  Time for a spring clean (a bit late).  I want to hang up my bedroom curtains,  nice and crisp and clean (and rosey) and take down the long thick winter ones.  How I wish I had the talents all you girls have,  but I learn from you every day!  Much love................

Hearts hearts and more hearts!

I have had a trying week,  it should improve from now on!  I was pottering around my little piece of paradise,  when I realised there were hearts everywhere, on the ''office'' door, in the kitchen, on the end of my bed, on the tray, even in the bathroom.  Testing out my camera,  I think it is not the best.  Hope you lovely ladies out there in Blogland have had a lovely week so far,  bless you all xx

Looking with new eyes

A year ago I had a miracle occur in my life.  I had an operation to fix my eyesight.  I am finding new treasures amongst my old stuff,  being able to see them ''with new eyes''.  Have had these pictures for three years,  lurking inconspicuously upstairs.  Now I can see their prettiness.  About five pounds for both at a car boot sale.  Mmmmm.

Raiding the scrap box

I raided the scrap box for trimmings and a little piece of ticking.  After fiddling about a bit,  came up with a mini cushion.  Delighted with it,  hope to improve with my next project.  Have a wonderful Wednesday!!

Where do you keep your love letters?

I keep mine in an old hat box.  A Valentine card from someone special,  letters and pictures from my Brother John,  who I took 43 years to find and meet.   Cards from places that mean a great deal to me.  it is my secret stash.  Have a truly wonderful and blessed weekend!

Don't you just love cups!!

I have a fascination for pretty floral cups and saucers.  Love putting them everywhere.  Here are a few of my cups.  Some are thrift/charity shop finds,  some are collector's items,  I don't care as long as they are pretty. Have a great Wednesday!!

My favourite shop

My favourite shop is the Banana Tree,  in Little Chelsea in Eastbourne, where I live.  It is so beautiful,  and I go there for inspiration.  It always smells so beautiful,  a mixture of lavender and gentle hand made soaps,  shabby chic furniture and gorgeous cushions and ever changing wondrous things.  Please visit it,  if you are ever in the area. One feels as though the world has been left outside!!
