Starfish


I have seen so many lovely blogs including starfish in either a bathroom display or on a 'beach cottage' type of table display.  I have been on the lookout for a few of these,  and sourced them locally.  Pretty soon will be buying some.
There are two reasons I like starfish.  Firstly,  they look beautiful  Secondly,  in South Africa they represent a society that looks after orphaned children suffering from aids.They therefore represent hope.

    Love starfish, even though I lives miles and miles from the sea. My father would pick them up at the beach when he had the chance.
    I missed your birthday Jacqui. I hope it was wonderful.
    I loved seeing the fairy bridge. I love rock structures like those. Beautiful!!!

    Hi Jacqui,
    These white starfish are so pretty...I've even seen them with glitter and hung on Christmas trees...I think they are very versitile accents. You'll have to show us how you use them to decorate your cozy little cottage. Have a wonderful weekend.

    I never knew the starfish symbolizes children with Aids. I will always think of this when ever I see a starfish again.
